Following in the footsteps of her mother, Mary celebrated birthday week. You just can't get all the partying done in one day. We hosted Mary's "Pack 'n Play" birthday for friends at a local park filled with beautiful fall colors. The big kids played football, the little kids played on the awesome playground while Mary and her friend baby Clare hung out with the moms. A win-win-win party.

Why is Andy proudly holding a stapler in the next picture? Because he saved up his allowance to buy his very own stapler. He needed 10 quarters and he did it. It was the first thing he bought with his own money and he was so proud. He wanted to save his first receipt too. My dad pointed out, this is Andy's first time buying a tool and certainly not his last. Good point Papaw!

Zack attended fall camporee the weekend of Oct. 12. He camped for two nights with his den of cub scouts and the group of Boy Scouts from Sacred Heart. He had a blast. The only hiccup was his tent leakage during the rain early Sunday morning. He woke up at 3 a.m. and his sleeping bag and pjs were soaking wet. His tent mate got their den leader, she helped them find dry clothes and blankets and rearrange their stuff to stay dry and they went back to sleep. Not bad for a couple of nine year olds!

George decided to make his own decorations last weekend for his door. He did them completely on his own including hanging them up.

Looks like a great party. I love George's comment about scribbles turning into a piece of art. I took a Zentangle class and that is exactly what it is...doodles turning into art.
ReplyDeleteI like to celebrate my birthday all week or month too! I love Mary's new monkey, very cute! It's as big as her. The picture of all the boys on the bench with their pop is AWESOME! Great job George with your Halloween decorations! What a trooper Zack was on his first solo camping trip.
