New paint in the kitchen

It was another week of change at our house.  We changed from one kid being sick to another.  Andy recovered from his week-long battle with strep and a nasty virus last Friday only to have George whispering into my ear on Sunday morning at 5:30 a.m. that his throat hurt.  He had strep throat and we finally sent everyone to school on Thursday for the first time in two weeks.  Hooray!  Zack pitched for the first time ever in his baseball game on Wednesday night and struck three guys out.  He was pumped.  He also made two good plays while playing first base and scored a run.  It was a fun game which was nice since anyone with kids playing sports knows, not all the games are fun.  Zack and George enjoyed field day at their school on Friday afternoon.  The temperatures made it feel like summer outside so the kids were pretty hot when they got home.

The transformation of the house continued with the kitchen and living room being painted.  I've got more before and after pictures, this time with the kitchen's new paint color.  The kitchen was yellow with one wall painted olive green.  The new color is called "Softened Green" and looks fantastic with the granite.  Joe started installing the new hardware too.  He got all the cabinet knobs on last weekend and is finishing the drawer pulls as I write.  The living room color is about the same as what we had before but the new paint really freshened up the room.

And there is a picture of our "Little Sister" at the end of the post that you won't want to miss.  Thank you for the new shirt Great Grandma and Uncle Norman.
