Mom and Dad went to Florida to spend a few days with their college friends (5 couples who have all known each other since attending Iowa State and they are all still married to the same person!). Unfortunately they were in southern Florida for the 12 coldest days on record. Oops. We took them for a tour of CNN in downtown Atlanta and put Dad to work on projects around the house. Gotta' love having your own personal handyman arrive in town with his toolbox in the car. Mom flew home to get back to work and Dad stayed for a few extra days. One friend commented to me, "your parents are like the President and the Vice President. They never travel together to go home".
Check out the old and new stove glamour shots.
I've never had a new stove before, it is wonderful!
I didn't remember to take any "before" pictures of the bathroom so you have a cute model in the "after" pictures. It used to have a dark green countertop/sink. Joe and Dad also put the trim around the mirror, installed a new faucet, changed out the hardware on the vanity, put up a new blind on the window (got rid of the dark green one) and changed out the light fixture. I hung some new art too.
Very bright and lovely!
Here's a few pictures from my recent trip to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Only 18 days until the Play-Doh party for George!!! The invitations are in the mail.
