Birthday Season Continues....

George's birthday kicks off birthday season at our house.  George on Feb. 14, Jen on March 12, Andy on March 23 and Joe on April 14.  Not to mention 3 great grandmas, a grandma, an uncle and a great uncle all before the end of April too.

Today we celebrate Andrew's 2nd birthday!  Happy birthday to our baby boy born on Easter morning in 2008.  We had his playgroup party last week when Zack and Joe could come so enjoy the pictures.  Thanks again to our friend Candi for taking the pictures, she does a beautiful job, doesn't she?

Andy's saying, "hey guys, quit licking my cake!"  He had an ice cream cake which was completely gone by the end of the party.

mmmmmm.....good stuff.

I enjoyed a wonderful birthday on the 12th.  The highlight for me was simply enjoying a day with no to do list to accomplish.  That's a rule in our house, no chores on your birthday.

We got a small chocolate ganache cake from Publix and dipped strawberries and marshmallows in chocolate.  We only had a 3 candle, no #7, so they put 7 candles on and a few extra for good measure.

Joe was busy last week installing these new blinds in our kitchen.  He got all five done, what a great birthday present!
Joe took me out for birthday dinner on the 19th to the Park Tavern in Atlanta next to Piedmont Park.  I forgot to take a picture of us enjoying dinner outside, the weather was glorious.  We used our first Groupon bought online, $15 for $40 of food and drinks.  Check out http://www.groupon.com/ for deals in your area.  It worked without a hitch.  We also zipped through a Trader Joe's at 9:45 before they closed at 10:00 p.m.  We don't have one near the house so it is hard to pass one without stopping.  We managed to find plenty of stuff in 15 minutes.

In other family news, our pet fish Red Hopper died last week.  Poor guy, he wasn't very red by the end.  We got a new beta fish named Blue Bomber.  We'll see how he does.

Happy Spring!
