We were blessed to spend 10 days at the river this year enjoying a family vacation. For a portion of our visit, the whole Hested clan was together. It started with 5 of us, now there are 15! What a wonderful way to spend part of our summer. We broke in Dad's new pontoon boat. Thank you to Mom and Dad for having all of us at Camp Hested. My favorite part was that when we left to drive there, we got to the river on the same day. It used to take us two days. Woohoo!
swinging in the bag swing, tubing, riding the ice cream boat, being in the 4th of July parade in Bellevue, blowing bubbles, playing in the kiddie pool, jumping off the dock, napping in the hammock, enjoying the car show in Dubuque, playing bean bags and ladder ball, splashing away at the waterpark, catching lightning bugs, eagle watching along the river and playing games. We did it all.
The cousins really enjoyed one another. Emma, age 9.5, was so good with the little ones, especially Henry. George and Benjamin, both age 5, were inseparable. Alex, age 12, was definitely the leader of the pack and very helpful with everything. He taught Zack origami and how to play cribbage. Andy, age 3, and Henry, age 1.5, are figuring out how to play with each other and hang out. A few toy fights but lots of fun together too.
