Happy Father's Day to Joe! We celebrated with our annual family miniature golf outing in the the 90+ heat and sun. Zack beat all of us this year, including Daddy. Whoa, look out Aunt Dude and Uncle Mojo, our mini-golf pros.
The boys got Daddy some new shoes.
Zack found the best way to beat the June heat when he joined the swim team. It has been hotter than normal here for June so spending time in the pool is a welcome treat. He's enjoying every bit of swim team, the practices and the meets. He and I drove to Macon, GA on Saturday for his first "big" meet and he took home an overall 1st place trophy for his age group. He swam in five races and got first place in 4 races, and 2nd in 1 race. It must be the "super fast" trunks he wears now. We are so proud of you Zack! Check out the trunks and don't you love the blue goggles too?
Diving in head first now.
50 yard freestyle
1st place trophy, way to go!
George's chin has healed up nicely and all the stitches came out on their own, by design. I swear it felt like we were chasing after him for two weeks trying to keep him from doing things with his head. He tends to lead with his head and charge full on into the situation!
Andy is becoming quite the two year old jabberjaw and cracking us up with his pronunciations. He is at the magpie stage where he repeats everything you say but you can also carry on a conversation with him. On a not so funny note (okay, it really is funny), Andy heard George saying "bad mommy" when George was mad at me. Of course that just doubled the consequences George already had. Well, Andy was in his crib after waking up from nap one afternoon. Apparently I didn't come to get him quickly enough because I hear Andy chanting through the monitor, "bad mommy". Little stinker.
Nice lips little man. (It's a whistle from a prize box).

Well, I don't think you're a bad mommy. :) Zack is awesome! He's already passing up Alex at the same age. I foresee a lot of swimming in your future.
ReplyDeleteGlad George's chin is healed up. Looks like it was in a pretty good location so you don't need to worry about scarring. Eventually it will be covered by his whiskers (isn't that weird to think about?)
Love,
Julie
Joe and I haven't mini golfed since Henry arrived so Zack will definitely be a threat this summer if we get to play some where while you guys are visiting.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Zack on the swimming tropy, that's awesome!
Love the lips Andy!
Love, Dude
