Halloween Night 2012

The Trick or Treat Crew

We spent Halloween with good friends sharing good food and good times.  Thanks to the Mace family for your hospitality.  Susan, I enjoyed sitting on the porch with you handing out candy while the dads took the kids out. The costumes were so cute and the jokes were entertaining.  For the non-locals, the kids in St. Louis have to tell you a joke before they get their candy.  Other than our own adorable kids, my favorites were the homemade gum ball machine, the pack of 12 girls that were all dressed as Oompa Loompas, the tiny little girl who was Kayla Maroney the gymnast and did a handstand while telling her joke and the Stick Man.  He was dressed in all black with glow sticks outlining his body.  In lieu of jokes, we also got singing and a cheer from two cheerleaders.  Our neighborhood is a fun place to trick or treat, lots of people sit on their driveways with fire bowls going and it's a nice chance to visit with friends.  The weather was perfect for this and the adults and kids all had a fun night.

The boys each designed their jack o' lantern and daddy did the cutting.

Mary wore her costume all day on Halloween.  It was perfect, warm and cozy.

Zack the Wii remote
We made this costume from a stroller box.  Isn't it awesome?

George the candy corn
He came up with his costume idea all on his own.  It turned out perfect.
