Mary's baptism

Mary received the sacrament of baptism on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church at 1 p.m.  It was a beautiful ceremony.  We shared the service with 3 other families and 4 babies, 1 set of twins.  It was very special to be there with all of these people as our children were welcomed into the loving arms of the Church.

Mary wore the same dress that I wore for my baptism.  My little sister also wore this dress.  Doesn't she look like an angel?

We had a party for Mary at the house the night before.  Her cake was almost bigger than her.

Everyone was sticky and pink after enjoying these cookies.

Deacon Charlie had the children "help" him bless the water in the baptismal fount.  What a neat idea.  He did a wonderful job.

Papaw Hested, Joe, Zack, Mary, Andy, Jen, George and Grandma Hested.   My little sister, brother-in-law Joe and nephew Henry were there too but I messed up and didn't get a picture with them too!  Darn it.  They spent Thanksgiving weekend with us, we all had a great time.
