Mary

Here are more pictures of our baby girl.  No rhyme or reason to this post, just a few favorites.
So sweet how they are both looking at her.  It really never gets old to just sit and look at a baby.
Grandma Hested, George and Mary
Is Mary a Swayne baby or what?  Check out big brother George's picture below for a comparison.
George 1 month old
Proud grandparents, Grandma and Papaw Hested
Great Aunt Lynda and Mary.  My Aunt Lynda and Uncle Dick were on their way home from Ohio to Iowa and took a detour to come see Mary.  None of the rest of the family could figure out how St. Louis was on the way home from Ohio but hey, if you want to meet your newest grand niece, you can make it happen!
Mary's awesome hat.  She gets so many compliments on this one.  Thanks to Linda, one of our carpool moms, for this  gift.  I love the bow!
Mary wearing her first dress waiting to go to Mass for the first time.  Look at those skinny little legs.  The sweater would fit most baby dolls.

Mary meeting Great Grandma Moore for the first time.  Grandma Moore is Joe's mom's mother.  Oh my, wouldn't Joe's mom be tickled to have a baby girl in the family?  We miss you Papaw and Grandma Swayne but we know you're watching and enjoying her from above.
Joe, Great Grandma and Mary.  Great Grandma is 93 and looking fantastic!

Andy is a very proud and helpful big brother.  Mary will be well protected.
We had to take this picture before we could take a family picture.  Otherwise they wouldn't get off the floor.

Mary with Mommy and Daddy.  We love you little girl!

Grandma and Papaw Hested with their 4 Swayne grandkids.
After Mary's first day at home, my mom said, "so where's the pink?"  I didn't have anything, only neutral clothes and of course lots of boy stuff.  Mom said, "I need to go to Target."  It only took 2 days for the pink to start rolling in.  She's received so many precious gifts.
Mary looks like she's in baby camo. since her outfit matches her seat.

  1. What an awesome family photo! George and Andy both hugging on a Zack - so precious! What an adorable bouncy seat. Great pictures!

  2. Cute, cute, cute! I think she looks like Andy too. I love the picture of Andy protecting Mary and he's got all his cars lined up behind her. That's exactly what Henry would do too. In the first picture, George looks like an old pro holding Mary. Mary does have skinny little legs. I'm sure they will be long like her brothers. Love, Aunt Dude

  3. The picture of the boys on the floor cracked me up! That's a lot of boyness!

Mary looks so tiny next to her BIG brother, Andy. I bet he loves being the big brother.
